Artist and photographer, Sue Sibley, has been President of Southampton CC, Chairman of Southampton International Exhibition and is a SCPF Judge. Keen to improve her phtography, Sue has gained her ARPS, EFIAP, DPAGB and BPE2* with distinctions.
Sue Sibley counts herself lucky to live in the New Forest – a beautiful area for photography. An artist before becoming a photographer, it is apparent that Sue knows how to get the best composition – her “start” image taken in New York, after 9/11, used the remaining structures and flags to create her image. She has been a member of Southampton Camera Club for six years with two of those as their President. She is also the Chairman of Southampton International Exhibition and has been for over two years. Not content with being a member of one camera club she has also joined the New Forest Camera Club. In this talk, Sue is keen to encourage others to take their photography forward and says: “‘Being in Southampton Camera Club has helped to improve my photography but I have then looked outside of the Club at other ways to push myself, gaining ARPS, EFIAP, DPAGB and BPE3 along the way.”
Sue likes to visit many Clubs within the Southern Counties Photographic Federation, judging their Print and Projected Competitions, and giving talks on her own work, as well as Photoshop tutorial evenings. Most importantly, Sue really enjoys teaching either individually or small groups, hence the reason for starting her workshops. They include trips out on location, places to suit, as well as Photoshop techniques.
