“Light Painting Still Life”
Roy started his photographic career 30 years ago with publishing house Hodder & Stoughton producing book cover artwork and author portraits. After a number of years as head of studio photography he turned freelance in 1990. Over the years he has worked for many mainstream clients producing commercial work in a number of different areas including travel, editorial, studio advertising and fashion. In recent years Roy has also been leading various photographic workshops for a variety of clients including the Royal Academy of Arts and West Dean College.

Lighting your still life using various hand held light sources not only allows for precise control of where the light falls, but results in uniquely styled & painterly looking images.
Through presentation and practical demonstration, the evening will explore the secrets of the light painting technique including how to apply the light to your subject for different effects & looks, using different light sources and final post processing of the images.
